Student Technology Skills:
An important consideration for online testing is the student’s ability to interact with a device to answer the assessment question. In addition to the student being able to read and understand the question, the student must be able to figure out the answer and use technology skills to input the answer. In addition, students must know what to do to submit or reset their answer, and know how to navigate to the next test screen.
The technology skills listed below are needed by all our students grades 3-8 to take this online assessment. These tech skills are taught and embedded within our curriculum. Please review the checklist below to ensure that your students have been exposed to these skills. If your students need additional review, please scroll to the bottom of the page for additional resources.

If your kids used Everyday Math On-line, CMP3 Connected Dashboard, BrainPop , ReadWriteThink, GoogleDocs & Google Forms, Treasures, Tesoros, & FOSS web online, then they will already be familiar with the basic skills listed in the above table and will most likely only need to build up stamina for the test. To do this, they should (in one sitting of at least 30 minutes), write a constructed response, or take an online assessment created in a GoogleForm and review the additional links to practice activities and practice assessments which are listed below. Completing the practice assessments on the PARCC website will also help to ensure that the students have the proper exposure to the tech skills that are needed to take the assessment.
