Accessibility and Accommodations
The PARCC Assessment includes accessibility features for all students as well as accommodations for students with IEP's, 504 plans, or for students who are identified as English Learners (ELs). Some accessibility features and all accommodations must be identified ahead of time and reflected in a student's plan.

Administrative Considerations for All Students
The following test administration considerations can be used with any student regardless of their status as a student with a disability or as an English learner: Small group, frequent breaks, time of day, separate or alternate location, specified area or seating, and/or adaptive and specialized equipment or furniture. See pages 25-26 of the manual.
Accommodations

For PARCC assessments, accommodations are considered to be adjustments to the testing conditions, test format, or test administration that provide equitable access during assessments for students with disabilities and students who are English learners. In general, the administration of the assessment should not be the first occasion in which an accommodation is introduced to the student. To the extent possible, accommodations should:

Timing and Scheduling
Unique Accommodations (goes through Special Services Supervisor)

Any adjustments to accommodations for 504 or IEP plans should be made in programs and services within SISK12 and communicated to your Special Services Supervisor and Test Coordinator. The Test Coordinator will notify the District Coordinator so that the changes are reflected in PearsonAccess Next.
Any adjustments to accommodations for EL students should be made in programs and services within SISK12 and communicated to your Principal and Test Coordinator. The Test Coordinator will notify the District Coordinator so that the changes are reflected in PearsonAccess Next.
